    BHANGARH FORT

  3. Historical Roots: Bhangarh Fort, situated approximately 80 kilometers from Jaipur, was constructed in the 17th century during the rule of Raja Madho Singh. The fort complex was established as a thriving settlement, encompassing temples, palaces, markets, and more. However, despite its once bustling atmosphere, the fort now lies in ruins, shrouded in an aura of mystery and the supernatural.

The Legend of the Curse: The legend that lends an air of enigma to Bhangarh revolves around a curse allegedly placed by a sorcerer named Singhia. Singhia fell in love with Princess Ratnavati, a ruler of the area, but his feelings were not reciprocated. In a desperate attempt to win her affection, Singhia used black magic to enchant a cosmetic product that Ratnavati was supposed to use. However, the princess discovered his plan and threw the cosmetic away, causing it to hit a boulder. The boulder then rolled over Singhia, who cursed the fort before dying.

According to the curse, the entire fort and its inhabitants would be reduced to ruins and face eternal doom. Subsequent to this curse, the fort was attacked by a neighboring kingdom, leading to significant destruction. Many believe that the curse has cast a shadow over the fort, contributing to the eerie atmosphere that engulfs it.
